I love these old trees located on some property owned by the Nature Conservancy. I assume they’re dead, as they no longer leaf out in the summer (this picture was shot in August), but of course they’re supporting an amazing variety of wildlife: insects, birds, squirrels, mosses and fungi, and who knows what else.
